Swim Team

This was Berlynn's 1st year to do swim team and I could not have been more proud. One word to describe the season: Incredible! Berlynn started out in non competitive swimming and by the 4th practice the coaches moved her to practice with the competitive swimmers. She did so good she was asked to swim a relay in the championship race! Her relay got 1st place and she swam her best time in 25m free at 30.36 seconds! Berlynn I am so proud of you, you swam your little heart out and loved every minute of it! The Stingrays also brought home the title as Champions!! Whoo hoo, it was so much fun!! Cant wait until next year!

Happy 4th of July

This 4th of July was so much fun! We did the usual stuff, parade and party in the neighborhood and watching fireworks at night. The most fun was making our Tye Dye shirts. Yep Berlynn and I made them all, it was really cool. Tulip makes a kit with rubber bands, color and gloves so it made it so easy. this may be a family tradidtion, they turned out so cute!

Berlynn's Graduation

This was Berlynns graduation at Spanish Schoolhouse we are so sad that this is her last year. I cant say enough about this school and how fortunate I feel to have found it. Berlynn is fluently speaking, writing and reading in Spanish. Now my goal is to make sure she keeps it. Luckily we have Mariana to babysit!

Sage Gets Her Ears Peirced!

My sweet baby has been begging to have earrings like Berlynn! So I gave in she has become really "girlie" lately and wants to be a princess everyday which consists of having her nails done wearing a skirt and sometimes butterfly wings. Now the earrings just top it off!

She did so good she sat so patient and still. When they did it, she got a really sad face and let out a small whimper but the moment they offered her a sucker she smiling from ear to ear. She LOVES them!!

Star of the Week!

Every year the girls get to be the star of the week at school. I usually spend hours on end obsessing over the poster and how I am going to make it different than past years. This year, Berlynn decided she wanted to do it all by herself. We went to the craft store and she decided what supplies and how she was going to create it. I was so impressed in her creativity. She picked little outfits used for scrap booking and wanted to paste her head, arms and legs on them. It was so cute. Of course I am sad that she didn't pick any pictures of Sage and mommy but she thought it was perfect so I didn't want to mess up her creation

Stranger danger...

Berlynn and I are having a little talk about strangers and I started to quiz her on what she would do if a stranger tried to talk to her. Me: "So what would you do if a stranger came up to you and said, "would you like some candy?" Berlynn: "I would Run away as fast as I could" Me: "Why would you run?" Berlynn: "Because maybe his candy is disgusting" HAHAHAHAHA!!!! guess we have a little more work to do

Full of beans!

Literally.......Berlynn and Sage ate an entire bag of Edamame!!!! Berlynn finished and said, "Mom my belly feels really full".

Father daughter dance

Dan took Berlynn to her first father daughter dance for Valentines day, it was so sweet. It was at Mustang Park for kids 5 and up. Berlynn danced the night away with the new moves daddy taught her. This will be a tradition for sure:)

Snow day!!

Yes we live in Dallas and yes this is the 5th snow day we have had in 7 days!!! Thank goodness I have a wonderful husband, who took on most of the responsibility last week during the snow days. I was in San Diego...70 degrees...walking by the beach....stuck there because flights were cancelled back to back. Oh and did I mention, it is Superbowl weekend in Dallas so it was hard to get on another flight. Meanwhile Dan and the girls are snowed in for 3 days. It was really bad outside so the girls did not get out. To help daddy keep his sanity we bought a Wii for the girls!! Berlynn has been asking for one ever since we went to Grandma and Grandpas for Christmas.

Sage's 1st dance class

Thanks to a VERY special gift from Grandma and Grandpa Engelhardt, Sage started her first dance class this year. She loves it!! Her class is the same time as Berlynns at the same studio so it works out perfect for us. Thank you Grandma and Grandpa!! We love you!
