Christmas Program at SSH

Mommy is so proud of you Berlynn you got to announce the first class to come on stage and perform. You had to practice really hard to get your lines down. The day before the show, we found out that your partner was sick so you had to say his lines too!! It was so cute, you told us you were nervous before the show. You did a great job! I am so proud of you!!

Sages Performance

awhahaha, look at these little cuties in the front they all just stood there, I think they all got stage fright!! After a few seconds Sage started to let loose as she made up her own dance so cute!! This was her first Christmas Show at SSH, I was smiling from ear to ear!

Berlynn's Class

Since Berlynn is in the Kindergarten program they do 2 preformances; one in English and one in Spanish. The one in Spanish was too long so here is the 2nd dance, "Reindeer on the Roof". They were so darn cute!!

Seaworld

We took a last minute trip to Sea World with the White family. Berlynn and Griffin had so much fun! The shows were incredible; I cant believe they can get the dolphins and whales to perform! We had a worker tell us that they have many "Shamu's" because often times one will refuse to "work" so they dont force them to perform. There are 9 total.

Berlynn's favorite part was feeding the bottle nose dolphins, they are so friendly and swam right up to you to ask for food! This was one of the best parts of Sea World, it was so interactive!

Hackerry's little helpers

Berlynn just started participating in a group called "Hackberry's Little Helpers". It is a group of kids in our neighborhood and was designed to teach preschoolers about charitable giving. What a great program, it is very important to us that our kids learn the importance of helping others. This month we went to the Coppell animal shelter. The kids got to learn about how the shelter helps lost/stray dogs. All the kids brought food and treats to help feed the lost dogs and cats and to support the shelter.

Mud Run!

Wow, this was such a cool race. It was the mud run here in Dallas. Dan and his friend James decided to go for it.........6 miles military style run with obstacles....looked like it was really hard but fun at the same time! It was so casual that we got to meet up with them at obstacles and take pictures. Great job babe! I love you!

Carly's Angels

Shortly after school started this year, Berlynn's little friend Carly only 4 years old was diagnosed with stage 4 Wilms tumor that had spread to her lungs, liver and around her heart. A few of us parents were desperate to help this little girl and her family.....a few weeks later a foundation was started called "Carly's Angels" to pay for Carly's medical bills.

Here she is in the hospital having Chemo, making the best of it with a smile on her face:)

Our Carly's Angels team; Lisa Lundgren, Anna Lucio, Anne White and Myself. We all had pink wigs and accessories to support Carly and her favorite color pink. When her mom told her she was going to loose her hair from the chemo, she let her die her hair PINK!! What a great way to help make something scary a little more fun!

Our fundraising started by having weekly bake sales to for 6 consecutive weeks. What a HUGE success! We had so many businesses donate food items for our bake sales, people couldn't wait to eat it up!! We finished with a big "Family Fun Run" at Andy Brown park where 450 people came together to walk for Carly and support the foundation. I am so proud to say in just 8 weeks, we raised $24,000 for the family. Everyone on the team dedicated so much time in making this event a HUGE success!!! We could not have had a better team with so many talents to pull this off. We had an overwhelming response from this community from schools doing fundraisers, to corporate sponsors. There are too many people to thank I don't even know where to start. Our story was also featured in the Dallas Morning News and in the Coppell Advocate! Whoo hoo!

Star of the Week!

This was Sages first time to be the star of the week. I usually try to incorporate some sort of art from the kids on their page so I had Mariana fill the paper with Sage's hand and foot prints before I put together the pictures. Yep I totally spelled her middle name wrong....another "mom of the year" award! We have been so busy I was extremely overwhelmed and obviously not thinking. I was trying to hurry because of course I was told on Friday that she was going to be the star of the week and I had to bring her poster the following Monday. Oh and did I mention that over the weekend was Halloween and family pictures....sorry Sagie Boo, mommy wont hurry next year! But I have to admit, it is still pretty stinkin cute:)

Tickets

Berlynn was working diligently on a "project" for about 30 minutes. When daddy came downstairs, she said "daddy here is your ticket". She had cut up 2 dollar bills for "tickets" for the show!!

Happy Halloween!

This is right before Berlynns "big" accident when she tripped, skinned her knee and was bleeding all over her white tights...you would have thought the word was coming to an end....She decided the only way to trick or treat was to be pushed in a stroller. So of course, I pushed her. 3 houses later she decides she is ok to walk. She took about 5 steps and trips again and skins her other knee....she was having a rough night

Pumpkin Patch

We were so sad we had to miss our big outing to the "big" pumpkin patch in FlowerMound this year. We planned to go on a day that daddy was home and we had to cancel because of the rain. We ended up going to the little pumpkin patch at the church and the girls loved it! They had the WHOLE pumpkin patch to themselves!
Sage's signature "pose"

Berlynn couldn't wait to make a "snake" with these little pumpkins. The girls spent 20 min making it perfect!
