Star of the Week!

This was Sages first time to be the star of the week. I usually try to incorporate some sort of art from the kids on their page so I had Mariana fill the paper with Sage's hand and foot prints before I put together the pictures. Yep I totally spelled her middle name wrong....another "mom of the year" award! We have been so busy I was extremely overwhelmed and obviously not thinking. I was trying to hurry because of course I was told on Friday that she was going to be the star of the week and I had to bring her poster the following Monday. Oh and did I mention that over the weekend was Halloween and family pictures....sorry Sagie Boo, mommy wont hurry next year! But I have to admit, it is still pretty stinkin cute:)

Tickets

Berlynn was working diligently on a "project" for about 30 minutes. When daddy came downstairs, she said "daddy here is your ticket". She had cut up 2 dollar bills for "tickets" for the show!!

Happy Halloween!

This is right before Berlynns "big" accident when she tripped, skinned her knee and was bleeding all over her white tights...you would have thought the word was coming to an end....She decided the only way to trick or treat was to be pushed in a stroller. So of course, I pushed her. 3 houses later she decides she is ok to walk. She took about 5 steps and trips again and skins her other knee....she was having a rough night

Pumpkin Patch

We were so sad we had to miss our big outing to the "big" pumpkin patch in FlowerMound this year. We planned to go on a day that daddy was home and we had to cancel because of the rain. We ended up going to the little pumpkin patch at the church and the girls loved it! They had the WHOLE pumpkin patch to themselves!

Berlynn couldn't wait to make a "snake" with these little pumpkins. The girls spent 20 min making it perfect!

Pumpkin

Every year there is a pumpkin display at school so all of the kids get to bring a decorated pumpkin. We always try to create something that is easy for Berlynn to do. This year she is a sparkly princess!

Sage-
My favorite time of day is when I take you to bed. You look up at me with your sweet eyes and say "rockie" in a soft spoken voice. We start rocking and you say, "Baby" because you want me to sing the baby song.....

You always finish the last 2 lines and say "gen" because you want me to sing it again and again. The best part is that my mom used to sing me that same song when I was little. I hold you tight and rock you, as I think about my mom and how much I miss her. I hope that I can be the kind of mom to you as she was to me. I love you dearly

The first day of school!

Berlynn has been waiting for this day all summer.  She kept asking "mom is today the day I get to go back to school"?  She loves Spanish Schoolhouse and we found out her best friend Griffen is in her class!  This is Sages first year so needless to say we were a bit worried how she would adapt to nap time with all the children in the same room on mats.  Turns out she did pretty good for the first week. 

I have to give daddy all the credit for this week because I was gone all week in Denver so he was on his own getting the girls ready and out the door in the morning with lunches in hand!  Sounds like everything went smoothly, it broke my heart to be gone their first whole week of school!

Berlynn picked out their school shoes at Target.  They looked so stinkin cute I had to get a picture of it!! Oh and she insisted they both wear purple socks......I pick my battles:)
